Romance a little dangerous.
Devotion absolute.
Dark, emotionally intense romance about dangerous men, resilient women, fierce loyalty, found family, and the kind of love that refuses to stay within the lines.
welcome to my side of the bookshelf
Hi, I'm Alexis.
I write dark, emotionally intense romance about dangerous men, resilient women, and the kind of love that refuses to stay within the lines.I’m drawn to stories where protection becomes obsession, broken people find something worth fighting for, and love is never simple. My heroes tend to be morally gray, fiercely loyal, and completely incapable of loving halfway. My heroines are resilient, complicated, and often stronger than they realize. My stories live somewhere between darkness and devotion, where love can be messy, consuming, a little dangerous, and sometimes a little sinful.I write love stories for readers who like their romance a little dangerous and their devotion absolute.I live in Idaho with my superhero of a husband and an ever-growing collection of fictional book boyfriends who have taken up permanent residence in our home.
When I'm not writing...
There’s a very good chance I’m doing something that still somehow involves books. You’ll usually find me reading when I should be sleeping, buying another book despite having absolutely nowhere to put it, or walking into a bookstore “just to look” and leaving with considerably more than I planned. When books aren’t involved, I’m probably drinking wine with friends, watching people on baking shows create things I would never attempt myself, flying back to the East Coast to spend time with family, or thinking about fictional characters when I’m supposed to be paying attention to something else.Basically, the books never really stop. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Remi
I learned a long time ago that a cage doesn’t need bars.
Sometimes it looks like a beautiful house, expensive clothes, and a respected man the whole world believes saved you.
I know what Judge Nathaniel Cain really is.
And when I overhear what he has planned for me after my eighteenth birthday, I finally do the one thing he spent twelve years teaching me never to do.
I run.
Five days later, I walk into Hell’s Highway Diner bruised, starving, and terrified that the man I escaped is going to find me.
That’s where I meet Sin.
He’s everything I should fear. A biker. The Sergeant-at-Arms of Devil’s Wake MC. A man who looks at violence like another problem he knows how to solve.
But he gives me food without asking for anything in return. He gives me a room with a lock I control. He gives me choices when I don’t know how to make them.
And slowly, dangerously, I begin to believe him when he says I’m safe.
The problem is, I’ve believed that lie before.
Sin
I know what happens when a man calls control protection.
I survived one.
So when Remi walks into our diner looking like someone tried to break her and failed, I should know better than to make her safety mine.
I do it anyway.
She’s seventeen. That means there’s a line between us I will not cross, no matter how badly I want things I have no right to want yet.
But wanting her isn’t the dangerous part.
Keeping her is.
Because the more I learn about the man she escaped, the more I realize Remi didn’t only run from an abusive guardian. She ran carrying evidence tied to something bigger, darker, and powerful enough to reach across state lines.
I know how to handle men like that.
I can break bones. Spill blood. Start wars.
What I don’t know how to do is protect Remi without closing my fist around every part of her world.
Every guard I place outside the door, every threat I remove, every rule I make in the name of keeping her alive brings me closer to becoming exactly what she escaped.
She ran once because a man tried to own her.
If I can’t learn the difference between keeping her safe and simply keeping her, I may be the reason she runs again.
